The Vision Implementation Committee (VIC) debuts the Vision Madera 2025 Vision Awards Program to honor an Outstanding Individual and Outstanding Organization. These awards, which recognize Madera’s citizens, both individuals and organizations, for their exceptional service to the community in promoting achievement of the Vision Madera 20205 Action Plan are awarded for the first time at the 2008 Annual Town Hall Celebration at Fiesta in the Park.
- 2008 Outstanding Individual Award: Sara Arthurs
Sara has been an inspirational leader to the Youth of Madera and embodies the spirit of a City which takes pride in its Strong Schools and Great Community. Sara was instrumental in the development of the Teach One to Lead One mentoring program that was conducted for Madera Unified School District. Additionally she was instrumental in the establishment of Madera Youth Centers Network, an organization devoted to the Youth of Madera through mentoring, leadership and spiritual support Sara has also served as the Chairperson for the successful 2006 Madera Unified School District bond Measure. As well as serve as a Board Member to New Hope Madera an organization devoted to offering spiritual guidance and leadership to Madera's Youth.

Rosanne Bonilla is presented the Chair's Award due to her involvement, commitment and unending enthusiasm for Vision Madera 2025. The Chair's Award is presented to the Vision Implementation Committee member who has made the greatest contribution to implementing the Vision Madera 2025 Plan. As a Vision Implementation Committee Member, she is always willing to step up and lead activities and events whenever called upon. She has spent countless hours of volunteer time embracing the Vision Madera 2025 Plan and was instrumental in the development and planning of the Vision Madera Town Hall Celebration as Co-Chair for the event. Rosanne is an active committee member and is a valued team member and embodies the Spirit of Madera's Vision. She has taken an active role in planning Madera's future while at the same time celebrating the present through such wonderful community events as the Town Hall Celebration and Fiesta in the Park.

Lois Grow is presented the Chair's Award due to her involvement, commitment and unending enthusiasm for Vision Madera 2025. The Chair's Award is presented to the Vision Implementation Committee member who has made the greatest contribution to implementing the Vision Madera 2025 Plan. Lois was instrumental in the development and planning of the Vision Madera Town Hall Celebration as Co-Chair. Lois is an active committee and community member. Her multiple roles include being a member of the Madera Fair Board of Directors, a role that utilizes her strengths in leadership and commitment to the community. As a Vision Implementation Committee Member, Lois has volunteered countless hours of her time in order to serve the community and help ensure that Madera's Vision of a Well Planned City with Good Jobs and Economic Opportunity amongst a Strong Safe and Healthy Community is a reality.
